Signal Boosters for Cell Phones

Many people view their cell phones as a comfort blanket, always connecting them to their friends, family, business, or emergency help if they ever get in trouble. However, though they do provide these services much of the time, our phones rely on a blanket of coverage that does not cover everywhere. If you live, or spend a lot of time out in more remote areas then your phone might not always attract enough signal to be useful.

One solution to this is installing a signal booster for your cell phone. These act as tiny cellular broadcast towers to allow your phone to receive signals from a wider range. The most basic and common boosters are internal cellular signal boosters. These are small stickers that contain wires that receive and broadcast cellular signals. They are placed inside your phone, often under the battery. There are also types of stronger external boosters available if the internal boosters are not strong enough. These can be placed in your house or vehicle and are like having a tiny cell phone tower near you at all times. You may need to situate them someplace where they are not blocked by steel or mountains before you are able to make any calls.

It is important to remember that some cellular signal boosters only work with specific types of phones. Also, there is no proven evidence that internal cellular boosters actually make enough difference to be any help. External boosters are more powerful, but can also be quite a bit more expensive.
